About YivaDrone
YivaDrone was founded in 2021 by robotics engineers who spent years keeping university research fleets flying — and got tired of watching good research time die on integration work. Locked firmware, undocumented connectors, airframes that needed a machinist to mount a new sensor: every one of those friction points is a design decision we made differently.
Everything we build is open at the seams. Flight controllers run unlocked PX4 and ArduPilot. Onboard computers ship with ROS 2 and our MAVLink bridge already talking to the autopilot. Airframes come with CAD files so a custom payload mount is an afternoon of drawing, not a machine-shop negotiation.
Today our platforms fly in university laboratories, industrial inspection programs and swarm research projects. We answer support questions with engineers, not scripts, because the people who designed the hardware are the people who should stand behind it.
